Because You First Loved Me

I John 4:19

Written and Composed by Marie Hutchinson

Performed by Ginnyree | White Dove Music

“We love him, because he first loved us.” Inspired by I John 4:19, Because You First Loved Me celebrates the whole sweep of God’s love: His love before time (Ephesians 1:4), His love at Calvary (Romans 5:8), and His love that will never let us go (Romans 8:39).

Written after a Bible conference stirred Marie’s heart with thoughts of God’s love, the song asks a simple question: considering all that God has done for us, how could we not love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength? (Mark 12:30)

A heartfelt reminder that we love Him because He first loved us.
